Miss Grape Trunk 8 Waterproof – Compact Waterproof Storage for the ILCOSO Handlebar System

The Miss Grape Trunk 8 Waterproof is a completely waterproof 8-liter handlebar bag developed specifically for the Miss Grape ILCOSO handlebar support system. Lightweight, compact and purpose-built for bikepacking, it provides protected front storage for road, gravel and adventure riders who want a smaller alternative to the Trunk 16.

With an adjustable roll-top design and a weight of only 129 grams, the Trunk 8 combines excellent carrying capacity with very little added weight. Miss Grape designed it to carry the equipment required for an overnight adventure while keeping the overall front luggage setup clean and streamlined.

Designed Specifically for the ILCOSO System

The Trunk 8 was created as an ideal bag for Miss Grape's ILCOSO modular handlebar support. Rather than strapping a conventional handlebar roll directly against the cockpit, the ILCOSO system provides a dedicated support structure for the bag.

This helps create a more organized front-loading system while leaving space around the handlebar for the rider's hands, cables and accessories. The Trunk 8 is officially tagged by Miss Grape as an ILCOSO-compatible product.

Important: The ILCOSO handlebar support is not included and must be purchased separately.

8-Liter Capacity for Lightweight Adventures

The Trunk 8 provides up to 8 liters of storage, making it well suited to lightweight overnight rides, fast bikepacking and compact gravel setups.

Miss Grape designed the bag to accommodate equipment such as a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, inflatable pillow, clothing and additional food. This allows bulky but lightweight equipment to be carried at the front of the bike while leaving frame and top-tube storage available for tools, electronics, nutrition and other frequently accessed items.

Its 14 cm diameter keeps the bag relatively compact, particularly compared with larger expedition-oriented handlebar bags.

Adjustable 27-to-55 cm Width

The Trunk 8 uses dual roll closures that allow its overall width to adapt to the amount of equipment being carried.

The bag measures approximately 27 cm at minimum width and up to 55 cm at maximum width, allowing riders to compress the load rather than carrying an unnecessarily large bag when it is only partially filled.

This adjustable format makes the Trunk 8 particularly attractive for performance-oriented gravel and bikepacking setups where compact dimensions and efficient packing matter.

Dual Roll-Top Access

Both ends of the Trunk 8 feature a roll-top closure, providing two separate access points to the main compartment.

Miss Grape specifically designed these dual roll closures to create a secure waterproof seal, helping protect the contents from rain and moisture while also making it possible to access the bag from either side.

The zipper-free design also keeps the construction simple and lightweight while eliminating a common potential water-entry point.

Completely Waterproof Construction

Miss Grape officially describes the Trunk 8 as having a completely waterproof construction. The bag is manufactured from black 210 nylon coated with phthalate-free PVC, creating a durable protective shell for equipment carried in changing weather conditions.

The material is also engineered for very high mechanical resistance and tear resistance, helping the bag withstand repeated loading, vibration and the demanding conditions encountered during gravel and bikepacking adventures.

Combined with its dual roll-top closures, the construction provides a straightforward waterproof storage system for riders travelling in unpredictable conditions.

At just 129 grams, the Trunk 8 offers an impressive capacity-to-weight ratio.

For riders building a lightweight bikepacking setup, that means up to 8 liters of front storage without the weight associated with traditional racks and panniers. The Trunk 8 Waterproof is made in Italy using Miss Grape's technical fabrics, customized polypropylene straps and nylon hardware.

It is certified according to REACH EC Regulation No. 1097/2006, continuing Miss Grape's focus on lightweight, durable and functional bikepacking equipment manufactured in Italy.
