The Prologo OctoTouch 3D is a next-generation performance handlebar tape engineered to deliver exceptional grip, comfort and vibration absorption for both road and gravel riding. Developed using an advanced injection-molding process, its distinctive three-dimensional surface creates a secure connection between the rider and the handlebar while helping reduce fatigue over rough roads and long distances.

Building on Prologo's experience with 3D contact-point technology, OctoTouch 3D was developed and tested in demanding environments ranging from the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix to the gravel roads of Strade Bianche, with feedback from professional gravel riders and WorldTour athletes contributing to its development.

Innovative 3D Micro-Structure

The defining feature of OctoTouch 3D is its three-dimensional surface composed of conical elastomer micro-structures.

Each structure incorporates a small cut designed to increase grip and breathability while helping moisture escape from the contact area. The result is a soft yet controlled feel in the hands, particularly when combined with cycling gloves.

Unlike a conventional flat tape, this textured architecture is designed to maintain a consistently firm connection with the handlebar even when riding over rough or uneven terrain.

Enhanced Grip in All Conditions

Prologo developed OctoTouch 3D to provide a firm and secure grip across changing riding conditions.

The textured elastomer surface improves hand contact and control whether riding smooth pavement, broken asphalt, cobblestones or gravel. This makes the tape equally appropriate for performance road bikes and modern gravel setups.

Advanced Vibration Absorption

OctoTouch 3D does more than simply add cushioning. Its three-dimensional elastomer structure is engineered to absorb vibrations transmitted through the front wheel and handlebar.

According to Prologo, the micro-structures transform road vibration into a subtle kinetic micro-massage effect, helping reduce stress and fatigue through the hands, wrists and arms during longer rides.

This added vibration control can be especially valuable on endurance road rides, rough pavement, cobblestones and extended gravel routes.

3.5mm Thickness for Comfort Without Excessive Bulk

Despite its pronounced 3D texture, OctoTouch maintains a relatively compact 3.5mm thickness.

This provides additional cushioning and vibration isolation without creating an excessively bulky handlebar. Prologo specifically designed the tape to maintain a direct riding feel and remain comfortable for cyclists with smaller hands.
