The Wahoo SPEEDPLAY ZERO 56mm combines the distinctive dual-sided SPEEDPLAY pedal platform with a longer 56mm stainless-steel spindle for riders who require a slightly wider stance. Built for road racing, endurance riding and triathlon, ZERO delivers a low stack height, extensive cleat adjustability and exceptional cornering clearance in a lightweight 222-gram pedal system.

The 56mm version offers the same performance and adjustability as the standard ZERO while positioning each foot 3mm farther outward than the standard 53mm version. It is particularly useful when a professional bike fit calls for increased stance width or when a rider needs additional crank or shoe clearance. Wahoo currently offers ZERO in 53, 56, 59 and 65mm spindle options.

56mm Q-Factor for a Wider Stance

The defining feature of this version is its 56mm Q-factor, compared with 53mm on the standard SPEEDPLAY ZERO.

The additional spindle length provides another option for dialing in rider biomechanics without relying on pedal washers or other workarounds. Wahoo specifically positions the multiple ZERO spindle lengths as a bike-fit tool for riders who require greater stance width.

Dual-Sided Entry

SPEEDPLAY ZERO's symmetrical pedal design provides dual-sided engagement, allowing the rider to clip into either side of the pedal.

This eliminates the need to flip or orient the pedal before clipping in and makes engagement particularly intuitive when starting from a stop or accelerating quickly.

3-Axis Cleat Adjustability

One of SPEEDPLAY's biggest advantages is its extensive fit adjustment. The cleat system allows independent adjustment of fore-aft position, lateral position and rotational float.

Pedal float can be micro-adjusted from 0° to 15°, while the release angle can be adjusted from 0° to 7.5°. Fore-aft adjustment provides up to 13mm of range, giving riders and bike fitters considerable flexibility when optimizing cleat position.

This level of adjustment makes SPEEDPLAY particularly attractive to riders who are sensitive to cleat position or who want to precisely reproduce an established professional bike fit.

Low 11.5mm Stack Height

SPEEDPLAY ZERO uses an exceptionally low-profile pedal and cleat interface.

Stack height is just 11.5mm with conventional 3-hole road shoes and approximately 8.5mm with compatible 4-hole SPEEDPLAY shoes. Reducing the distance between the shoe and pedal spindle creates a compact interface designed for efficient power transfer.

39° Cornering Clearance

The compact SPEEDPLAY pedal body provides up to 39 degrees of cornering clearance, allowing aggressive riders to continue pedaling deeper into corners before risking pedal contact with the road.

For criterium racing, fast group riding and technical descents, the combination of low stack height and excellent cornering clearance is one of the defining characteristics of the SPEEDPLAY platform.

Stainless-Steel Spindle & Durable Bearing System

ZERO uses a stainless-steel spindle designed to withstand rain, sweat and regular high-mileage riding.

Inside, Wahoo uses triple-sealed cartridge and needle bearings, providing a smooth and durable pedal platform suitable for everything from everyday road riding to racing and long-distance endurance events.

Despite the stainless-steel construction, the complete pair weighs only 222 grams.

Standard Tension Cleats Included

SPEEDPLAY Standard Tension Cleats are included, providing a firm and secure engagement intended for performance road riding.

The pedals are also compatible with SPEEDPLAY Easy Tension Cleats, available separately for riders who prefer easier engagement and release. The included walkable cleat system provides a rubberized contact surface for improved stability when walking off the bike.
